Dahilayan Adventure Park
Dahilayan is located in Manolo Fortich Bukidnon, about 40 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro City passing by Del Monte Camp Phillips. It is in the foot of Mount Kitanglad range which is declared as a national park of nature. This place is so much more like Baguio in its pristine days before. The scenery and temperature is like you are in the States. I’ve been in this place before there was so much development at the Dacudao family Farm. But now it will have a soon to open Dahilayan Adventure Park which has Asia’s longest dual cable zipline, dubbed the ZipZone. MBS 3 now in full swing
MBS 3 or the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit is now on full swing. Since I’m one of the organizer of this event I got a super busy day today finalizing the venue for the event which will be held on October 24, 2009. For those who have not yet pre-registered please register now at this link. The place of the event cannot accomodate the horde of participants so this will be on a first registered first to get a pass basis only, so hurry.
The theme of this year’s MBS is “Mindanao Bag-Ohon ang Panan-aw”. There will be several guest speakers from around Mindanao and one very important person with International status. Of course, there will also be blogging seminars on the afternoon. The next day will be adventure fun; for those who want to experience the adrenaline rush of the famous Cagayan de Oro whitewater rafting you can booked it now also to make your stay here in CDO a very memorable one.

Your CDO Guide in the City
The CDOBloggers, Inc. a group of bloggers in Cagayan de Oro has a little project to use the keyword CDO Guide to help promote the city of Cagayan de Oro which CDO is derive from.
One aim of the group is to promote Cagayan de Oro to the rest of the world thru blogging. As an active member of this group I also serve as a CDO Guide to help promote Cagayan de Oro in my own little way. I grew up and was born here in the city, I have witness the place from a very sleepy town to a bustling city today.

DigitalFilipino fellowship night
Last friday July 17, 2009 I attended the DigitalFilipino roadshow here in Cagayan de Oro organized by Janette Toral, my long time friend in the IT world and Syntactics, Inc. owned by Hanie Caragos a family friend and fellow JCI buddy. It was a lot of fun meeting old and new friends together with the members of CDOBloggers. Janette presented the top 10 Influential blog of 2007 and 2008 and encourage us in the Cagayan de Oro city blogosphere to have an entry for the Top 10 Influential Blogs 2009. The famous Aileen Apolo was also there, my first time to see her personally shares about the advantage of being a blogger and winning the Influential Blog award. Syntactics also presented there advocacy – LetITHelp.org a very innovative cause.

A new theme for Abonitalla blog site
Abonitalla.com domain was registered with the intent of using it as my unique email address and for my family and relatives who may be interested in having a unique email address for themselves. As time goes by I decided to make use of the idle http part as a blog site but without any theme in mind.
Starting now the new theme of this blog will be Cagayan de Oro city society and its heritage. I will post here different stories about people in Cagayan de Oro as well as its heritage. I welcome any contributors who may want to write in this blog about the new theme. I will also be inviting some of my relatives who might be interested to write something here.

Eart Hour 2009
Let us join and support the “Earth Hour Philippines 2009”. Said activity is a major call to every individual, government and business to take action to help ensure a sustainable future of our planet. The Earth Hour is a message of hope and collective action to fight global warming which is very important concern facing us today. With this undertaking, our country will again join millions of communities around the world which will unilaterally turn out the lights for ‘Earth Hour 2009, in collaboration with the Department of Energy, The Green Army, and SWITCH Movement nationwide, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao aiming for the participation of at least ten million Filipinos.
In what aims to be world largest mass participants event, Earth Hour 2009 will be the culmination of one billion people in over 1,000 cities from a round the globe represented by business, government and communities uniting to send a message to world leaders for 2009 UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark that we need a commitment of ACTION to reduce greenhouse gas emissions soon.
On March 28, 2009 at 8:30 PM, our country will once again join millions of communities all over the world in this symbolic act. Among the highlights of this Earth Hour Philippines 2009 are the Earth countdown live concert and entertainment events to be held in key provinces and cities from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on (Saturday) March 28, 2009.
